Since its inception in 2022, the Department of Marathi has made outstanding strides in its work, emerging as one of the most active and result-oriented teams here at our college. Geography
Geography, a branch of human knowledge since the 4th and 5th century, when it first emerged on a global scale. Its history is rooted in Indian Astronomy and it has since divided into two main branches: Physical geography and Human geography. Physical geography is concerned with the study of lithosphere, hydrosphere, atmosphere and biosphere, while Human geography explores the relationship between nature and man. Recent additions to this field include Environmental Geography and modern techniques such as GIS & Remote Sensing, analytical study of GPS, Petrology and Mineralogy, which provide a fresh perspective on the subject.
The department has now started an under-graduate course, which began in 2021 at the general level. But it is not just academics that the department focuses on. Various skill development programs and co-curricular activities are also offered to ensure the overall progress of students, making Geography an even more engaging subject.
