On October 3rd, 2024, S. S. Pawar College, Ambegaon (Bk.), Pune, celebrated Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti with a Poster Presentation Competition themed “SWACHATA HI SEVA” to honor the principles of cleanliness and service promoted by Mahatma Gandhi. A total of 25 students participated in the event, showcasing their creativity and awareness about the importance of cleanliness in our society.
The competition aimed to inspire students to take active responsibility in keeping their surroundings clean and to reflect on the significance of cleanliness as a form of social service. Through this initiative, the college encouraged students to embrace Gandhi’s vision of a clean and healthy India, reinforcing the values of discipline, responsibility, and community service.
This event was a meaningful way to celebrate the legacy of Mahatma Gandhi while promoting the idea of “Swachh Bharat” among the youth.
